NP2E’s founder and Chief Vision Officer, Gülay Fitoz

Gülay has been active in the arena of the human rights of women and girls through i.a. UN’s Convention on the Elimination of Discrimination Against Women (CEDAW) and UNSC’s Resolution on Women as well as Youth Peace and Security, spearheading large scale projects in armed conflict zones where harmful gender norms manifest in their most extreme and violent forms.

She has initiated many movements to empower women and youth to claim their rights in voicing themselves as she is methodologist of the Safe Space model.

Besides she is researcher of cross-national women in history and women’s international cultural heritage and is an accredited international gender election observer.

Secretary Zehra Sariaslan

Zehra is a renowned international speaker on women’s human rights, with a specific focus on women’s political participation as her former career is marked by her position as Dutch politician and as Netherland’s former youth representative for the United Nations in 2012.

Currently she works as program analyst on Yemeni refugee women for the United Nations positioned in Jordan (UN-Women).

Treasurer Esma Temizkan

Esma is the initiator of 'Mothers for Better Education'. This bottom-up initiative aims to ensure the universal right to a quality and safe education for children from minority groups through laws in education. Besides she is a businesswoman and the director of her own company.

Auditcommission

Ada Vermeer-Janse

Ada is the University of Amsterdam’s first female graduate as registered accountant. She has been a business women with her own accountancy company and has extensive experience in auditing both on national as well as on international level. She has worked as a controller for more than 10 years and has been member of several (supervisory) boards, i.a. of the Amsterdam University Fund.

Solvejg Inge (Louise) Verra

Louise has been a member of the Soroptomists in the Netherlands for many years to advance the rights of women. She has more than 21 years of experience as president of a variety of organisations: Radio and TV stations, Animal Welfare Zaanstad, the regional Rotary club and as board member of Platform for Architecture Zaanstad, etc. She has had many positions as manager and head of departments at the municipality of Zaanstad and Centre for arts.
